Zbrush Tutorial 7 Masking and Pump / Luxury Texture
Extruding Shapes from Mask Zbrush Tutorial by Jay Hill. J HILL is a Sr. Character Artist from Orange County, United States of America. Mask an area on the SubTool by holding down CTRL and painting on the Subtool. Press CTRL + SHIFT and click the new polygroup to select it. I managed to align the circular shape to the view by rotating it. As this moves the subtool rather than just the view this is of course a very suboptimal.

Tried the white-circle alignment method on this one too: But no matter how I click and turn, the mesh is tilted. Just mask it from the side, should be fine. It will not create a new SubTool. When you press the Extract button , ZBrush will calculate the boundary of the selected area, then create a new mesh with smooth clean edges. When done, clear the mask.
